The rules, in plain language

Using Real Rating — the site in your corner wordmark as “rate.” — means agreeing to these. They are short because the product enforces most of them by construction.

You must be 18 or older

This service is for adults only — rating and being rated. Adding a photo requires an explicit attestation that you are 18 or older, and every photo is screened for apparent minors before it can ever enter the pool. If we determine an account belongs to a minor, its photo and data are deleted.

Only your own face

Photos enter through a live camera capture with a liveness check — there is no upload button — and you attest at capture that the face is your own. Submitting someone else’s likeness is a violation of these terms and, in most places, of their rights. Photos reported by other users are hidden — immediately for the most serious categories, and after multiple independent reports otherwise — and then reviewed by a human.

What a rating is

Ratings are the aggregated, subjective opinions of other users, expressed through head-to-head choices. They are not a measurement of you, not an evaluation by us, and not advice of any kind. We make no promise about what your number will be, and no refund is owed because a number disappointed. This service is not for anyone in a vulnerable state about their appearance — it shows you unfiltered aggregate opinion, and that is not for everyone.

What paying does — and cannot do

Paid options accelerate exposure (how quickly your photo enters matchups) or unlock views of data that already exists. Payment never changes, improves, or protects a rating. Purchased comparisons are delivered in full, but they arrive as real people rate — delivery pace depends on pool activity and is not guaranteed to be immediate. Purchases are processed by Stripe; charges for services already delivered (votes already spent) are not refundable, and duplicate or failed charges are always made right.

Fair play

No scripts, no vote farms, no scraping, no attempts to identify other users. Automated behaviour quietly loses its influence; scraping or harassment loses the account. You may not use any photo you see here for any purpose outside the rating interface.

Leaving

You can pause your photo, remove it permanently, or stop using the service at any time, free. Removal deletes the stored image and returns unused votes to your balance; it does not refund past purchases whose service was already delivered. To keep ratings meaningful, a photo (removed or not) anchors a seven-day window before the next one can be added free — replacing sooner is the paid fresh start. Liability

The service is provided as-is. To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for how other users vote, for decisions you make based on a rating, or for interruptions to the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.
